I realize that I haven't updated everyone on how Mexico went. I'll get to that soon. As for now, I'd like to update you on the present-- 9:43 pm on a overcast day in Pittsburgh. It's actually 4:43, but after my family and I returned from Europe on Thursday afternoon, I stayed on London time (5 hours ahead) so that the change to Thailand's time (12 hours off) is less of a shock. It's been interesting, waking up at 2 in the morning when my family is still asleep and it's still dark out and going to bed at 6 when my family is eating dinner and it's still light out. Haha. But it's been good.
Anyways, I am currently packing for Thailand, as I look forward to leaving tomorrow around 7:30 (Pittsburgh time). If I did the math correctly and counted in the right time differences, my total time spent on an airplane within these next few days will be 24 and a half hours. (That time does not include layovers.)
Please keep me in your prayers as, first of all, I am flying alone. I've flown alone a handful of times, so I should be fine...that is, until I walk into an airport that does not exclusively communicate in English. Haha. Also, pray that my time with the team these first few days will go well. I am going just over two weeks since the four interns got there, so I will be behind, in a sense, on the team bonding that has happened these two weeks. Finally, there have been a few setbacks and decisions needed to be made here at home and some are still up in the air; however, by up in the air, I mean that I've lifted them up to God and am waiting for His faithful provision. Pray that I wait patiently. :)
Thanks for the prayers!! I will try to do a better job of updating this blog.
